Self-care for Busy Moms

Becoming a mom is a gift, yet…

It can trigger the parts of you that need healing

This is why I created The Embodied Mommy brand after having my second son, Charlie, in 2021.

As moms, we're healing the traumas of generations before us while also trying to show up as our best possible selves for our children.

Being everything for everyone often leaves you with…

Chronic Stress &  Anxiety

Thoughts and emotions become negative and intrusive. Stress can feel unsurmountable.

Low Energy &  Fatigue

Inadequate rest and sleep leads to tension, stress, discomfort, and physical pain.

Identity Crisis

There is a mourning phase for the life before kids, and a realization that your whole life has changed.

Self-care becomes harder than ever. At the same time, it’s also the most critical for you and your family.

So, what is a mama to do?!

Alyssa Knapp meditation

Holistic tools such as mindfulness and energy healing practices can help you feel more present and less stressed, leading to a more fulfilling experience of parenting.

By incorporating self-care into daily routines, you can:

  • Recharge your batteries

  • Reduce stress, anger, and guilt

  • Increase your ability to be fully present for your kids

  • Stay focused and calm in the moment

  • Support a more positive and intentional parenting experience

How it works…

Energy healing techniques can help you clear any blockages or imbalances in your energy field, promoting a sense of well-being and inner peace.

By taking care of yourself, you can be more patient, understanding, and supportive, leading to a happier, healthier family dynamic.

If you’re seeking this kind of peace in your life, I’d love to support you. You can book a  3-session series that includes energy healing & holistic coaching that is tailored to your specific needs.

"I am continuing to make time for myself each day. After my final session, I felt the most relaxed and least overwhelmed than I had in probably years. I am continuing to make time for myself each day and remembering I can only do so much in a day and to not let that stress me out. I continue to remember to intentionally breathe during the day and not let others' energies affect my own.”

The Embodied Mommy Podcast

One of the things I realized as soon as I became initiated into the world of Motherhood is that NO ONE talks about the ugly messes we find ourselves in pretty much immediately after birth.

This is exactly why my good friend, Jayme, and I created the Embodied Mommy Podcast! We dedicated the entire first season to the Fourth Trimester.

What our listeners are saying…

“Thank you, Alyssa and Jayme, for simply being yourselves and recording it to help others. This information is absolutely necessary for all mamas to hear, and I love that it feels like I’m sitting there with you having a casual conversation!”

Motherhood as a Spiritual Journey…

One of the most valuable tools I have found to date as a mom is definitely Reiki.

Reiki in the Perinatal Period

During pregnancy, Reiki can help with physical discomforts such as back pain, headaches, and fatigue, as well as emotional stress and anxiety.

New mothers can also benefit from Reiki by reducing stress, promoting relaxation, and improving sleep.

Reiki can also support postpartum recovery and promote physical and emotional well-being.

Reiki for Your Littles

For infants, Reiki can be used to promote relaxation and alleviate colic, teething pain, and other discomforts. It is also believed to support the overall health and well-being of the baby.

Reiki can help toddlers in similar ways as it does for infants. It can promote relaxation and alleviate physical discomforts such as headaches, earaches, and stomachaches.

Reiki can also help with emotional stress, anxiety, and behavioral issues, such as temper tantrums.

Children hold onto trauma energetically from preconception, pregnancy, and post-birth experiences. They are also little empathic sponges! Reiki is a great way to clear energy they may pick up from others, including other family members.

Learn about the Reiki Like a Mother Program!

I’ll teach you how to use Reiki for your own healing and well-being, and how to use it for your children and other family members.
